MASC Van Stock Control
On the handheld you have 2 stock options
1, Stock Menu and 2. Stores Stock. The Stock Menu is used to control the stock
movements on the van and print a closing report at the end of the day. In
many of the screens you will see a print button. This will allow you to print a
list of items displayed on the screen. This should only be clicked when
connected to a printer, if used when no printer is connected you will have to
perform a soft reset.
Stock Options
This will be display the options screen
for the stock system. The user has the option to rollover the stock with no user
prompt. This allows for easier use but could result in the loss of your opening
stock data if used incorrectly. For more details on rollover Stock see the
details below.
If during a rollover you wish to set the opening stock to the current closing stock enter Y else enter N.
Show Details
This screen allows the user to select a product code and show all the
stock details for that item without printing the stock report. You can use the
scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen to move up or down the list or
the next and prev buttons.
You cannot change any of the quantities on this screen, this is a display only option.
Clear All
This option allows you to
clear the entire stock system as if the system was in use for the first time.
Once complete the user will have to enter in the opening and closing stock
details. This option does not affect the sales data. The sales information can
only be downloaded through your normal MASC sales sync process.
Opening Stock
When you
use this program for the first time there will be no entries on the screen. You
can add items to your opening stock by clicking on
the “Code
"and a list
of products will be displayed. When the product is selected the product
description will be shown beside the code, enter the quantity for the opening
stock and press add to add the item into the opening stock.
To amend the quantity in opening stock click on an item
and enter the quantity to increase or decrease the existing value.
For
example, if the existing quantity is 10 , enter 2 to increase the quantity to 12
or -3 to reduce the quantity to 7.
Closing Stock
You can add items to your closing stock by clicking on the “Code
" and a list of
products will be displayed. When the product is
selected the
product description will be shown beside the code, enter the quantity for the
closing stock and press add to add the item into the closing stock.
To amend the quantity in closing stock click on an item
and enter the quantity to increase or decrease the existing value.
For
example, if the existing quantity is 10 , enter 2 to increase the quantity to 12
or -3 to reduce the quantity to 7.
NB - In theory you should never have to add a product to your closing stock. If the item is there at the end of the day it must have been either there at the start of the day, added when you loaded the van or accepted as a customer return. Any product additions will need further investigation
Review Loading
This screen can be preloaded if you are
using the MASC store system. The user can then review the list of items to be
added to the van and start selling from the van. When you have reviewed the
screen click on “ACCEPT” to load the data into your handheld. A warning screen
will be displayed click OK if you wish to accept the data.

Rollover Stock
This option will clear
the closing stock , van loading and sales and optionally set the opening stock
to the value of the closing stock. If you do not want the opening stock to be
the current closing stock set the option to “N” in the Stock options Screen.
Display closing Stock
This
will display the calculated closing stock for the van. The calculated
closing stock is the opening stock plus the van Loading less the sales less the
actual closing stock. The user can use this screen to check the report
before printing.
Print Stock Report
This will print a
stock report showing the following details
