Product Maintenance

• Click on the Add Record button to create a new product code. Each product code will automatically be allocated a unique ID number (AutoNumber).

• Tab to the Code field, enter new code.
• Tab to the Description field, enter product description.
• Tab to the Sales Price field, enter the product sale price.
• Tab to Nominal Code and select approriate codes.
• Tab to the Cost Price field, enter the product cost price.
• Tab to Nominal Code and select appropriate codes.
• Tab to the Vat field and select appropriate vat rate.
• The barcode and outer barcode will both return this product when scanned.
• If the item of stock is a stocked item tick the stocked item  field.
• If stock items are to be downloaded to the handheld tick the Download to HH.

• Only product codes that have been added to the system can be priced. There is no limit to the number of codes which can be entered.

• To delete a code, simply click on the Delete Record button.
• Click on the button to exit the screen.

As the product file grows you can use the product code filter at the top of the screen to restrict to the view to a selected product. this field supports the use of wildcards i.e.  AA* or A?1 etc
